A little care, in your own way.

TOYO BIYORI is a Japanese lifestyle publication exploring beauty, food and tea, everyday living, travel and learning through the lens of Asian traditions.

We begin with the things you enjoy: a scent, a flavour, a place you would like to visit. Through interviews, expert explanations and introductions to places and products, we help readers find choices that feel right for them.

What we mean by yohjo

Yohjo is the Japanese idea of caring for yourself through daily life. Here, it is an invitation to notice how you feel and make room for food, rest and small pleasures—not a demand to live perfectly.

Traditional ideas are presented in their cultural context. Our editorial content does not diagnose conditions, replace medical care or promise health benefits. When medical advice is needed, we encourage readers to consult an appropriate professional.

Our editorial approach

  • Use clear, everyday language while respecting specialist knowledge.
  • Distinguish traditional concepts, scientific findings, providers' explanations and editorial suggestions.
  • Identify advertising, supplied products and relevant business relationships.
  • Give practical information and make unconfirmed details clear.
